# Use cases

Going against Oniverse's laws has different consequences depending on whether you're acting against its narrative, its values, or obligations contracted for its use or that of one of its services.

Here are a few examples of how Oniverse Justice can be used to illustrate the diversity of these potentialities.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Gamified moderation**</mark>

Many actions that contravene Oniverse's laws in principle can actually be integrated into its narrative, their occurrence resulting from the exploitation of backdoors, exceptions and loopholes deliberately opened in Oniverse's narrative and operation. A telling example is piracy, made possible by the hazardous exploitation of trade routes, which can lead to a player being dispossessed of a potentially marketable cargo. A complaint could, however, be lodged by the victim and lead to the conviction of the assailant with a gamified penalty (restitution of goods or compensation, banishment from a zone, loss of reputation and access to certain services, etc.) in cases where identification is possible.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Disciplinary moderation**</mark>

Oniverse's moderation, exercised through its jurisdictional system, will naturally be more severe and much less playful in proven cases of contravention of its conditions of use, which are embodied by the provisions of its Constitution and specified by its laws.

Scamming and discriminating users, for example, or attempting to do so, runs counter to the general narrative of Oniverse, which promotes fair dealings, mutual respect and encourages diversity. What's more, this is a case of non-compliance with Oniverse's user norms, and after processing by the administration, a complaint of discrimination, if contested by the alleged perpetrator in particular, may give rise to adversarial proceedings before an ordinary court specializing in personal injury cases.

A related case of moderation, both gamified and disciplinary, would be that of a senator who has, by one means or another, sold his vote with a view to the examination of an Oniverse law. Should the act be contested, the dispute would be settled by the chamber of the Oniverse Supreme Court responsible for political justice. At the end of the procedure, and if the facts were indeed qualified as corruption, a penalty of ineligibility could be pronounced and the senator at fault would be automatically removed from his current mandate.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Integrated dispute resolution**</mark>

Regarding, for example, the ownership and use of assets (bridgingly authenticated on the blockchain in the form of NFTs), contractual and/or automatic dispute resolution clauses may be included in contracts materializing these transactions and participating in Oniverse's integrated and secure economy, if they are not already included in general terms and conditions. The purpose of these clauses will be, with the agreement of the parties, to submit potential disputes to the competent specialized courts of the Oniverse jurisdictional system.

Let's imagine the case of an avatar animated by an AI reproducing in equal parts and combining the personality and intellect of two Oniverse citizen users who have used this service to pool their experience, skills or more, and whose ownership would be materialized by a fractional NFT. Let's imagine that, without consulting the other party and in violation of the conditions governing the shared use of the avatar, one of the users has, for example, used the avatar's AI functionalities to produce a written work for which he has taken sole credit. The other user and owner of the avatar in question would then be able to lodge a claim (withdrawal of the work, mention as co-author, compensation, etc.) with a court specialized in intellectual property matters.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**An arbitration or mediation service**</mark>

Eventually, Oniverse will offer players initially outside its ecosystem recourse to a dispute resolution service, drawing on the experience and expertise of its jurisdictional system, and thus enabling them to benefit widely from its accessibility and efficiency. This recourse will involve the upstream drafting of agreements or arbitration clauses, according to a standard model specific to Oniverse.

Realistically, its use could initially consist of curating token listing registers (compliance), taking positions on prediction markets, or more broadly, establishing the Oniverse jury community as an oracle capable of backing smart contracts.

For all these dispute resolution services, the operation of Oniverse's Justice system will require compliance with all applicable standards (respect for adversarial procedures, avoidance of conflicts of interest, etc.).
