# Members of Parliament

### <mark style="color:orange;">Active Participation and Voluntary Roles</mark>

At ONIVERSE, we place a high value on democracy and the active participation of our Citizens. The majority of positions and functions in our metaverse are accessible on a voluntary basis, underscoring our commitment to inclusivity and engagement within our community.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Elective Positions: Deputies and Senators**</mark>

However, it is important to note the exception within this system: the roles of Deputy and Senator. These crucial positions require election by the Citizens, reflecting the democratic foundation of our governance structure.

## <mark style="color:orange;">Founding Members : An Exceptional Case</mark>

### <mark style="color:orange;">Selection Process for Founding Members</mark>

In light of the necessities involved in founding our metaverse, we've established a unique category: Founders. This encompasses Founding Senators, chosen by lot from among eligible community members, and Founding Deputies, selected through a similar process with the caveat that members designated as Founding Senators are excluded.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Founding Citizens : A Comprehensive Role**</mark>

Furthermore, Founding Citizens are selected by lot from among those who qualify, with Founding Senators and Deputies automatically being designated as Founding Citizens—eliminating the need for them to participate in the additional draw.

### <mark style="color:orange;">**Lifetime Honorary Titles**</mark>

The honorary titles of "Founding Citizen", "Founding Deputy", and "Founding Senator" are bestowed for life, even after the founding functions have expired. These titles are a testament to our respect and gratitude towards those who have played a pivotal role in the birth and formation of ONIVERSE.
